When I was Cubmaster, our WEBELOS had a related problem -- the Cub Scout
Belt Loops would not fit on the wider Boy Scout belt worn with the OD
and tan WEBELOS uniform. (We also had a problem with their Colors
separating from the fasteners so that the boys kept losing their
Activity Pins.)
We solved both problems by having the WEBELOS make personalized coup
sticks that they brought to Pack meetings and displayed in umbrella
stand type holders. The coup sticks had a length of old, blue, Cub
Scout belt attached for displaying Belt Loops; a Colors screwed to the
stick for displaying Activity Pins; and small totems awarded to the boys
for participation in various Pack activities (such as a small plastic
kite shape on a piece of yarn to denote participation in the Pack Kite
Flying Derby, etc).
