A few month's back, as a QM for our Jamboree contingent, I had to make a
run for a "few" items that we needed to round out the patrol boxes of our
12 patrols. I went to Long's Drugs (a large discount chain) and when
checking out the $400+ worth of items, I asked the checker about a Scout
Discount. She summoned the manager and he gave us a 10% discount with a
smile.
Nothing lost in asking...
