In Toledo, we tried asking Kroger's for a discount for weekend camping
groceries. With no advance notice, they gave us a hefty discount on
bread (great, because we were having french toast, sandwiches and bread
with other meals)and said if we contacted the manager 2 weeks ahead of
other campouts something better could be arranged.
