Lost Scout is found

Good news! The lost Scout, Jeremy Stephany, has been found. He was =
found about a mile and half from camp. He is safe and well, although =
somewhat dehydrated and scratched up. He is presently at home with his =
family recovering.

Thank you all for your prayers. I am thankful that we have a happy =
ending. For those sending Scouts off to Summer Camp or Resident Camp or =
Day Camp, and for those adults who will provide leadership at these =
camps, please use this story to help teach your scouts. Please drive =
home to them, that if they should ever find themselves in this =
situation, to stay put. This Scout did not. He wandered and wandered. =
Also, please use it as an example of why we need to use the Buddy =
System. This Scout was with a buddy when they went off to do some =
research for the Nature Merit Badge. They did not use the Buddy System =
correctly and split up. One Scout returned. The other did not. =
Somehow, we must make these young Scouts understand, that however hokey =
the Buddy System may seem, there are dang good reasons why we use it.

Again, thank you all for your prayers. I am sure they helped to bring a =
happy ending.
