Dear Ed,
As a member of the Atlanta Area Council's WEB site committee, let
me say thanks for the kind promotion!
Having expressed that, let me pick a bone with the way you added
that caveat about the Council Camps. It was off topic to express your
low regard for the Council Camps, as well as superfulous to your
response.
I can not imagine adding such a negative "editorial comment" to a
response on a topic not related to a discussion of Council Camps.
I am very familiar with the fine camp programs in the Flint River Council,
of which you also know, but even if I held them in low regard (which I
don't) I would not take advantage of any ole opportunity to "trash" them.
Atlanta Area Council Camp programs are certainly not the worst in the
country, nor among the best, but the Council is always working to improve
quality. Whenever the last time you experienced an unsatisfactory program
at an Atlanta Area Council Summer Camp was, please have the courtesy
to give fure camp programs the benefit of the doubt.
