Moslem & Jewish Trail Food

I recently learned about the official supplier of
Jewish Kosher Field rations to the US military.
These rations are available to the public, it turns
out, they seem very suitable for backpacking food,
and I have heard that they are very tasty. Allen Houser
has put up a web page about them on the National
Committee on Jewish Scouting Web Site at address:

One doesn't have to be Jewish in order to order or
enjoy them, but the piece of news that I thought
might need to be publicized is this:
The supplier also supplies similar field rations in
Halal-certified versions. So any Moslem scouts,
observant or otherwise, who would find this useful
might appreciate being told about the web site (and
the supplier).
