Whoa! Back up the train! I think you misundertook me in a VERY big way. I'm
NOT a Webelos Den Leader.
Never said that I was "forcing" the Cubs into the troop. That's not my
intent.
All I want are some Den Chiefs for our Tiger, Wolf, Bear, AND Webelos dens.
The Cub Leader book says that they should be Boy Scouts (1st Class or above
if possible). Personally, I don't care WHAT blasted troop they come from-
the Cubs are under NO obligation to cross-over to the troop their Den Chief
comes from anyway. BTW, we had 2 Webelos dens last year- one crossed into
our companion troop, while the other, after a rather lengthy selection
process, voted to cross into another local troop. It's their choice & their
right to do so.
I just thought that since the Pack & Troop share the same CO, they'd be a
handy source of Boy Scouts needing leadership "points".
Scouting is a way of life,
Larry ;-)
