I don't know what hat the West Point gift shop is selling for $22. The
US Army Drill Sergeant's hat (male) sells for $55 in Quartermaster
Clothing Sales and is far heavyer duty than the BSA hat. I don't know
who has all the contracts to supply hats to the Army, but mine is made by
Stetson.
When I retired I converted my "Brown Round" to Scout use by adding the
hatband that I had beaded for my original BSA hat in 1964 when I had made
Brotherhood in the OA.
