Remember -- Keep It Simple, Make It Fun. Don't just show them how to do
things -- make it hands on. Show ----- then have them do it.
This may seem like an oversimplification but assuming you have normal youth
then KISMIF and ShowDo will work. [Sometimes there are occasional
disciplinary problems that need to be brought to the attention of the
adults.] Organize with you adult leaders and run a junior leader training
program and run all 15 or so boys thru it [why not?]. Study Woods Wisdom
and FOLLOW the suggestions in there. It really WorkS. Work to develop you
PLC. The PLC should be running the Troop. Encourage everyone to wear their
uniform and set the example yourself.
Good Luck and Have FUN!
YiS,
John
