Sometimes the obvious is easy to overlook. Your annual recharter package
has a paper entitled "Budget". It gives excellent guidance for
developing a unit budget. If you don't have a copy, ask the council
office for one.
Also, the BSA Troop Finance Book is a good resource for developing a
budget. It also give you a way to track income, expenses, and how the
funds are divied up among scouts.
