I agree with you completely, but some who call themselves scouters do. We
had this same discussion in this forum about a year or so ago and I think I was
outvoted about two to one.

An eleven year old does not need to be lacking self esteem to be humiliated
by an authority figure such as a scoutmaster or camp program director. If the
kid does not have self esteem, such behavior is not likely to foster it.
