Hi Cynthia,
I appreciated your posting the Scouter's Prayer to Scouts-L. Couldn't
help but notice that you listed the author as "Anonymous". Actually
this prayer is a slight modification of a prayer written by the late
General Douglas MacArthur (of World War II fame) and called "A Prayer
for a Son."
I have used both MacArthur's original prayer and the Scouter's Prayer
modification for various Scouting ceremonies. Either version seems
entirely appropriate.
Thanks again!
