We did Music Man in high school. Here's my stab at the blanks

It's "horse platoons".
Copper Belled uphoniums and big Bassoons
There were 50 mounted cannons in the battery
Thundering, thundering louder than before
.........imporvised a whole octive higher than the score!
Oh well, it's been a while. Pick a little, talk a little, cheep, cheep
cheep!
