In my opinion you need to do these things
1) Vent your anger
2) Educate the ASM in charge
3) Educate the Camporee judge
4) Turn your Patrol's experience into something positive

2) that is were the real mistake was made. That ASM should have told
the judge, or ask the judge to discuss the matter in private. However,
I think it is the kind mistake we do and which should be excused.

3) This could have been done with good intentions. Unless somebody told
the judge (ASM or boy!!!) we can not blame the judge. If somebody
told the judge the person should have either thought about it or ask
opinion from a meet director. Disqualifying a patrol is not something
any event-helper should be allowed to do without asking somebody
in charge.

4) could be easy if explained from the right angle: tell them they must
obviously have been that good that those stupid judges couldn't believe
it. Have a celebration of true victory with that patrol.

I know when this happens to me I only know what to do the next day...
