Co-ed units

Well, let's see here, some people want co-ed units and some people
don't. Just a thought here, but if those of you that want co-ed
units so badly why don't you just go out and start your own
organization? You, know INSTEAD of trying to undermine decades of
tradition. There should ALWAYS be a place for single-sex
organizations such as the BSA and GSUSA. However, if you really feel
that you must have a co-ed organization get off your lazy duffs and
start one. The BSA gave in to this whole idea in 1972 when they
started the Explorers(I know you want to hear about that again :) !!)
anyway so girls cannot become eagle scouts, don't the sex's deserve
some kind of identity? Boys can't be mothers, and girls can't be
Eagles, sounds fair to me. See there are differences that no matter
how much you try you can never change, and yes boys need a place to
get away with "the guys" just as girls need a place to get away and
be with "the girls". Not only for fun, but for development and
growth.
I agree that boys and girls should learn to work together, but isn't
that what they do five days a week in the school system?
Just some thoughts.
