Several months ago I posted a notice here asking for advice on what to do for
a scout who was turning 18 YOA, but had recently been diagnosed with ADHD,
and whether this diagnosis would allow him an extension to complete his
eagle.
Everyone's advice was very helpful. And FYI, I learned that National's policy
was to allow scouts with ADHD [since it is recognized under the ADA] an
extension past their 18th birthday, so long as the diagnosis is verified by a
medical doctor. So, our scout not only has the benefit of finally
understanding his own situation [as his own indiividual diagnosis is very
recent], but is also going to get to complete his eagle.
Thank you all.
