Introduction

The protocol says that I should introduce myself, so I guess I'll do that.
I've up here where we go into the walk in cooler to warm up. Coon Rapids
is a small town north of the Twin Cities.

I've been in Scouting a little over 25 years, more if I count my youth.
I've had a variety of positions from Unit Commisioner to ADC, den leader
to cubmaster, and of course ASM.

I've just had the opportunity of my Scouting career given to me. We are
going to restart a troop in Blaine, MN. Troop 522 will be chartered by the
Blaine United Methodist Church. This is an action that the Church has
wanted to do for years, they were never able to find a leader. I came
along looking for a troop and a church home. It is am exciting time.

The nucleus of the committee is forming, and I've already got two Cub
packs interested in the program and the opportunity that a new unit has.
One advantage that we have is that we have the equipment and the trailer
from the earlier times with the unit. The other advantage is a life scout
and a second class scout that have been in very good boy run programs that
tag along with their dad.
