When I was involved, I showed it about once a year. The older Scouts who had
seen it before made a little fun of it, but not much. They mostly took it
quite seriously. I do not think, however, that the situation you describe is
a result of the adults not thinking it is worth talking about as much as
they are extremely uncomfortable talking about such matters. I still think
the majority of people are inclined to think that if they don't look at
abuse, it isn't there.
My own unfortunate childhood experiences tell me that it IS there and adults
need to open their eyes and look if we are ever going to protect our
children from it.
