Scouts Sunday: Assistance

Bill Wheeler (wwheeler@BUFFNET.NET)

Our Troop's Sponsoring Organization is Brighton Community Church in
Tonawanda, New York.

What we usually do for Scout's Sunday is have our Scouts handle the:
Call To Worship
Prayer of Invocation
Unison Reading
Scripture Reading
etc.

This year, in going over the program with our Minister, he suggested that I
(the Troop Scoutmaster) handle the "Children's Moments". Usually a 5 to 10
minute timeslot to talk with the younger youths (8 yrs old and younger +-)of
the congregation before they shuffle off to the "Children's Sessions".

I am open for suggestions for a story or something, Scout related, that
would be humorous and attention getting for that age group. (I have thought
of the story of Scoutmaster H... with the big old tree with the dark, dark
shadow between the corner and the house, but...???)

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bill Wheeler
