Re Invent???

WHY???

OK, sorry, With a troop that has been around for over 50 years, this
request seems.... well... intresting.

My first suggestion is to get the FAST START Video for the troop
committee and the Scoutmaster and show them at the next Committee
meeting.

If you are heading this project, My next suggestion is to pick up the
COMMITTEE Guidebook at the Scout shop or where ever you buy thoes
supplies. Then read it before you show the video so that you can answer
questions. Or at least read it and invite a/your unit comissioner to
help. This should answer most of your questions on who does what, how to
orginize the committee and what the scoutmasters involvement is.

Next, pick up the SCOUTMASTER handbook and read it. This also will
provide insite to what responsibilities belong to who.

If your unit is in that much need of help on the committee level that
COMMISSIONER should be able to help, that is their JOB.

PS. I wish I were near, I have been there.
