Well, it is now almost 3 hours into 1997 here in Perth, and I just want to
wish all my scouting friends a wonderful year. To my Northern Hemisphere
friends, I would welcome an exchange of weather temporarily - the forecast
for today is a maximum of 41 degrees celcius (I can't remember the
conversion, but I know that's well over 100 degrees farenheit), with more of
the same for the next few days. My New Years Day will be celebrated trying
to cool off at the beach!
