Troop Trailer Insurance

After inquiring about trailer insurance from a dozen agents, the
type of policy we are all looking for is called an "inland marine
policy". This covers damage to the trailer and its contents
which are not covered by the haulers automobile liability
insurance. Several Troops in my council have obtained this form
of policy from independent agents for $30-50 per year. In all
cases, the trailers were titled to the Troop, not an individual
or charter organization.
It was last year's fire of a neighboring Troop's trailer that
made many of us become concerned about the Troop's equipment,
whether in a trailer or at our Troop meeting room.
