Death of some great Scouters

To All,

We have lost many great Scouters over the past few weeks and months and I
felt especially at this time of the year it would be a good time to remind
you all of my Memorial Page.

I have set up a Web page titled "The Scouters' Memorial, A remembrance of
those "Gone Home" too soon and those who inspired us all."

This Memorial is dedicated to remembering those Scouts and Scouters who
did their best to live their lives in the Scouting spirit and who left
this world a little better place than they found it.

The first listing was for Mr. J. Lawrence Smith who passed away on Dec.
6th. 1995 and had been a registered member of Scouting for some 80 years.
This remembrance was submitted by Fred Rogers.

If you know of someone who is deserving of being added to this listing I
would appreciate your sending a submission via e-mail directly to me at
the address below. This listing is open to Scouts and Scouters be they
girls or boys, men or women. Anyone, anywhere is invited to submit an
entry. I only ask that the remembrance be mainly devoted toward their
Scouting and Family life. The entries will only be edited for spelling
and grammar if necessary. The words will essentially be your own.

I have not seen a listing such as this elsewhere and thought it would be a
fine way to honor those whom we have lost, one last time, and a way to
allow others to know as well, what fine people they were.
