Intro and Question about BSA Sleeping Bags

John Vance Stutsman (jstutsma@FGI.NET)

Hi! I'm fairly new to this list and have been lurking in the background
for the last week or two. My name is John Stutsman, ASM Troop 48 Chatham
Illinois a year and a half now. Befor that I was Cubmaster [for 3 years]
at Pack 79 in Chatham. Eagle Scout 1970. Arrow of Light 1966. I served
on camp staff at Camp Thunderbird @ Great Rivers Council [near Moberly
Missouri] in 1970.

I hope I'm repeating a question that has been asked and answered before --
I have a BSA Sleeping Bag that I got for Christmas in 1966. It has a liner
with Scout motto and slogan across the interior. Anyway, the bag has taken
a beaten over the last 30 years and I was wondering if there was
someplace/business that will recondition old sleeping bags. My son has
said he'd like to take it to Jamboree 97 if we could get it fixed and
naturally it has a lot of sentimental value to me and I would like to fix
it if at all possible.

Any ideas?

Thanks for all of your time and consideration.

YIS,

John Stutsman
