First of all, let me thank all of you from the 'L' who sent condolences. I
will personally deliver them to the family representative tomorrow morning
during the visitation. Our Council has deeply felt the distress this
situation has caused and has released the following information:

MEMORANDUM
Chester A. "Ray" Ealy
Our Condolences go out to the family of Ray Ealy.
In their time of grief, the support of the Ealy family and the young scouts
who looked up to Mr. Ealy as their mentor and leader is our primary concern.
Services for Mr. Ealy are scheduled for Saturday, December 21, 1996 at New
Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 8129 The Paseo in Kansas City, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 9-11 am, with the services starting at 11:00 am.
Condolences may be sent to Ray's wife, Toni, and his two sons, Life Scout
Christopher, and Timothy, and daughter Eboni, at the family home, 6100
Walrond, Kansas City, Missouri 64130.
The family requests that memorials be sent to the Ray Ealy Memorial Fund c/o
Mercantile Bank, 6300 Troost, Kansas City, Missouri 64131.
Arrangements for grief counseling for Scouts and Leaders of Pack 27 and
Troop 608, who feel the need to discuss the tragic death of Mr. Ealy, made
be made by contacting Mark J. Brayer at the Scout Center..."
