Re: Backpack

I've had great luck with Coleman Peak 1 Flexible frame backpacks. They
come in a couple of sizes for adults and youth. They have the necessary
lash points and compartments and don't break like the aluminum frame
packs. Usualy around $150, I've found them discounted to $60 for
previous years model. If you lack experience fitting backpacks, pay the
premium and get experienced help, since Coleman provides very little
guidance in their litrature.

The hip belts on these packs are too big for some boys and the frames
seem too big for Webelos/New Scouts, but I think the origional post was
for a Life. My Life and Star both use adult sizes of this backpack
without problem and I expect them to last a dozen years.
