1st of all: thanks for your help on my request for the SPL patch
image... as usual Scouts-l is more reliable than Infoseek or whatever
thing you use to search on the WWW :)

well, in Mexico I've read some Scout magazines from 1939 and 1940
wich talk about women as Cubmasters, in fact untill very recently
(70's I guess) they could be CubMasters of male cubs (we have Cubs
and Gazelles), there were female Akelas in such times, not anymore.
FYI Akela is the name for all the CubMasters in Mexico
