A new one for our Pack.
The soon-to-be-ex-treasurer has been non-communicative with the Committee.
Boy no longer at den meetings, no attendance at Pack or committee meeting,
refuses to take or return calls, has the checkbook we need to write the
Popcorn costs, etc. She is being forced out by unanimous consent of the
Committee. (Two parents were furious at the committee for allowing the
situation to go on as long as it did....no funds are missing, though. In
retrospect, action needed to be taken sooner. New Packs take note!!!)
Anyway, we had to practically force their popcorn orders down their throat.
Now they have the popcorn, we have to pay by Sunday, and we really don't
hold out much hope we will get the money, so the Pack has to pay for it.
It's not too much ($54), but it represents $160 in sales taken away from the
boys, and *that* amount hurts.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Or is this a 'lesson'?
