Thanks for the warm wishes Mariano. Your P.S. got me thinking about how we
will celebrate Thanksgiving tommorrow. Our family's table will hold a 15
pound turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, yams, cranberry sauce, fresh baked
rolls and pumpkin pie ... fairly typical. But at my place of work, I have
been a convenience store manager for the past 11 years, my employees will
sell an unusually high number of frozen, microwavable dinners, cans of soup
and yes, Spam. Some of my customers will celebrate the holiday with an extra
can of cat food, though they will insist it is for their pet. And that is
what I am most thankful for; that I will not be eating alone tomorrow, that
I will not spend the night in a garbage dumpster or in a cardboard box in an
alley somewhere, that I will be safe and warm and surrounded by loved-ones.
I think I'll say a prayer or two for those who are homeless and hungry this
Thanksgiving. I hope you all will too.

YiS,
