As a result of this thread here on Scouts-l I brought this change to the
attention of my District Chairman and Commissioner. Neither had heard about
it! Guess that information that was given to the CE's is not making it to
the volunteers here either! (then some wonder why we think it's "them" and
"us"?) <g>
In our district we had - before the split - and will continue to have and
"Honor Unit Award". This was created after National switched from "Honor
Unit" to "Quality Unit". Traditionally the requirements for this have been
all the QU requirements, more or less.
We will be considering not including the membership increase requirement as
a requirement for out local Honor Unit award. We have units in our
districts that *should* NOT increase in size because to do so would strain
or harm their programs.
