It sounds to me like you might be talking about Carlisle Barracks in
Carlisle, PA. It is also knonw as the home of the Army War College.
The Barracks is located on US 11 just south of the PA Turnpike (I-76)
Carlisle exit. I don't know who to contact for more information, but
directory information for area code 717 should be able to give you a
number for public affairs. =20
Also close to Gettysburg is York-Adams Council's Camp Tuckahoe. It is a
short distance from US 15 in Dillsburg, PA. The council office number
is 717-843-0901. =20
There are commercial campgrounds in Gettysburg. You could also try
calling the park service. They may let scouts camp on park land.
