I think its pretty common for cub scouts to be awarded belt loops (and
pins) for participation in non-scout community sports teams. Is it not
consistent then to award belt loops (and pins) for routine academic
topics that the kids experience in school, such as math and geography?
(rhetorical question). I'd be interested in learning other pack's
experiences and policies on dealing with the academic loops and pins...
