Scouting with Elvis?? (Scout song words)

Found this at RT tonight. The author of this parody has allowed
me to post it. He is one of our recent ALT graduates. This song's
pretty funny.

--MY BOY'S A SCOUT--
Tune: I'm All Shook Up.
Parody words by: Troy J. Klein

Well I was so depressed when I heard the news,
My son's independence really gave me the blues.
But now that I know what it's all about...

[Chorus]
I'm so proud!
My boy's a Scout!
Uh-huh, uh-huh,
Yeah, yeah,
My boy's a Scout

[Bridge]
Pitching tents and riding bikes!
He took me to Sedona* on a ten mile hike.
My legs are shakey and my back is sore,
But it was so much fun I'm gonna do it some more!

I'm so happy that I must tell you
Responsibility and a good attitude!
I'm so happy I could scream and shout...

Chorus

Bridge

Chorus

*For those of you who don't know, Sedona is a city to the north
of Phx. Getting there by bike is _rough_. Bikeing around there
is almost as bad.

YiS,

Chuck Bramlet, ASM Troop 323
Thunderbird District, Grand Canyon Council, Phoenix, Az.
