Here is information on the 1996 Chippewa Valley Council's
University of Scouting. We sometimes change where in the district it
is held, but the last two years it has been at the Vo-Tech School in
Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

They offer a Bachelor, Masters and Doctor of Scouting program. "degree cards"
are issued for scouters to keep track of their requirements.

A round University of Scouting patch is issued to first timers and there after
you get a year segment.

Courses were in 50 minute periods, the longer courses went two periods.
Five sessions periods were offered.

We had the State District Attorney give the keynote address on crime prevention
as a tie in to the new merit badge.

Lunch is also provided (stew in bred bowls!mmm). Cost was $8 in advance,
$14 after the cut off date.
