While I have not had that specific problem come up, I can tell you that ADD
and all of its companion problems, Hyperactivity, learning disorders, etc.
are adressed under the ADA. ADHC is a disability under Federal regulations
even if is is invisible. Especially in the case of one who is so late in
being diagnosed, your council should be able to apply the disabled rules to
him. Often though, it does take a fight as there is still a bit of confusion
as to what it is and resistance on the part of some to accept it, still
Scouting has a more positive attitude toward the problem than most
organization. Probably because we get so many boys with the disorder.
