God and Country Award

This coming Sunday, Nov 17, I will have the great pleasure to award 8
kids their God and Country Award during Church service. While this is
not the largest group, it is the first group that I have had the honor
to work with kids working on God and Church. And as usual, both the older
kids and the younger kids always teach me something!
Since 2 of the boys who have earned their award are not members of our
church, I have been asked to present them their awards at their pack meeting.
(They will be at our church for recognition during the service too.)
2 girls have earned their God and Church
3 boys have earned God and Family
2 boys and 1 girl have earned God and Me
And one parent has earned the Mentor award for God and Me. Only the second
adult in our Church to do this!
I am grateful to be able to work with these kids. If it had not been for
my son and Scouts, I never would have known about this program. And yes,
when asked to help with the program the following year, I thought that I
was taking on too much (yet one more time!)
