Hello,
My name is Bob Taylor, better known in my group as Bob "go to training"
Taylor because I am putting alot of time and energy into getting people to
training. have decded that it is better to go with peoiple to training,
rather than sending them because I have already been. so I will probably be
going to SMF as long as I am in Scouting and can persuade leaders to go.
just finished by second SMF for this year and still learned alot of stuff.
I am an Eagle Scout, as are my brother and Father. hope both of my sons
also get their Eagles. My wife, Rusty, is a great Scouter's wife; very
supportive of me being gone on outtings and for training.
I am currently committee chairman; got the job after months of coplaining
that our program didn't match the BSA program very closely (like not at
all!), so our institutional head said, ok, your now comittee chairman, you
fix the program! I am enjoying being involved in Scouting again, even with
the challenge of reviving a broken program. we are making progress, but it
will take another year of concerted effort before we are up to speed.
We live in Poulsbo, WA (just west of Seattle on the Kitsap Peninsula), our
unit is Troop 1590, Chief Kitsap District, Chief SEattle Council. plan to
take Wood Badge the end of this summer, and hope to get the family to
Philmont this summer if I can ever decide which class to take!
