ALL units in BSA have charters

Since BSA OWNS the "biggest printing press in the sky," all of our
registered adults should learn to read and access the literature. All
literature is in constant update, some annually, and some like the Charter
and Bylaws AND the Rules and Regulations, only when needed.
However -------since the inception of BSA (1910) we have a CHARTER to the
Congress of the United States of America (our chartered partner) and thus,
the president is like unto the Executive Officer for that charter, AND it it
renewed annually (Feb.) and reviewed annually. See the Articles of
Incorporation for Local Councils, the actual original charter is reprinted
there and remains today.
Hope this helps --
Kathie
