Eagle Scout & the "disability"requirement ref. 18 YOA

Q: Does anyone know if ADHD qualifies as a "disability" in getting the 18 YOA
deadline extended for a scout who wants to finish his eagle requirements ?
We have a scout who will be turning 18 soon, but has about 3 merit badges +
his eagle project to complete. It appears obvious [to us leaders, anyway]
that he will not likely make the deadline to complete all of his work, etc,
by his 18th birthday. The parents have recently informed us that he has been
diagnosed ADHD, & they want to know whether this "disability" will qaulify
for an extension of time for him to complete his eagle. Of course we intend
to inquire at our Council Office, but I was wondering if anyone else has ever
encountered this before ? thanks
