J. Kevin Chapman, brings up a good point, that the Snow BAse Zero artilce in
Scouting Magazine did also point out. There are a number of Winter Camping
programs throughout the country, Ely, Philmont, Colorado, and others. I
have also seen where districts run programs like these or their winter
event. Snow Base is one of many great winter programs that Scout Troops and
Explorer Post can add to their schedules of activities in the winter months.
