For the Scout kept a wet tent rolled and it got moldy, he should have
known better. For the Troops adult leaders, shame on you for letting it
happen. My guess is, it was really an oversight on both parts. I'm sure
by now it has turned into a "learning experience". If the Scout now
understands what 'must' be done he will probably do it correctly the next
time unless he enjoys being distructive. If he has learned, a further
punishment will not produce a better Scout, only an angry Scout. If he
enjoys being distructive, keep him out of harms way. There are certainly
many thoughts to these types of problems. I understand that boys are
going to make many mistakes(I was one of those boys once). It is our job,
no not job but joy, to help them learn from those mistakes and to someday
to become a 'GREAT SCOUTER' just like me.
