Dr. Covey on mission statments

Last Monday, Dr. Stephen Covey, the author of "The 7 Habits of
Highly Effective People", was here at Honeywell ATSD to talk to the
employees. After the talk, a number of us approached him to have him
sign our copies of that book.
As he places a great deal of emphasis on the writing of a personal
mission statement, I mentioned to him that I had never completed one,
since I am a Scout leader, and had realized that the Scout Oath was,
in fact, a very good individual mission statment that I could not
improve on.
His response was "Them make that one your own, and live by it".
Which I do.
Just thought that you folks might be interested in that.
