Jim et al. Where's your ASM? Could he deal better with your son so you
aren't being hard or soft? Or accused of either?
Buy him some "better" grade outdoor clothes? Some people really don't
hold body heat as well (me).
Sounds like the leader's son syndrone to me. Get your goat. Saw it at
Cub Camp - kid great all day, then throws hissy at the station his dad's
running. My own son being non-cooperative during meetings if we don't do
what "he" wants. Friend DL's kid crys and bawls when he gets hit at
games.
Can you not go on the next camp-out and let the ASM's or other parents
handle things and then get a report on your son's behavior? This should
close in on the problem - if it's you being hard on him and the others
don't see the problem, him just giving you a hard time and not other
adults, or if he really is having trouble on the camp-outs and is cold and
he needs more padding.
Feel for you Jim, I can see this coming with my boys, being DL.
