Hey Don!
I just read your note about your Wood Badge presentation at 2020 on
Saturday...congrats!! Watch your snailmail (that is, if you haven't moved
in the past couple of years)!!!
Don has been wondering since he'd came to this forum many moons ago
on the relative worth of Wood Badge....he's a long-timer in the "game of
Scouting", but didn't have the time or placed it in his priority to attend
Wood Badge. As a former Scoutmaster and District Scouter, Don knew
how the "game was to be played" and did his best to run his Troop, one
of the best in his Council, the way that it was intended to be.....
Now, we can expect much more from the ol' Owl as he continues his
service to others. I ask you, Don, to please stick in there even when
things get rather muddy and messy, and to always remember over everything
else that what you are doing you won't see any results for years....(well,
in your case, you're already seeing much of the fruits of the seeds from your
days as a Scoutmaster earlier!! *laughter*)....
I'm proud of you...and congraulate you again for not only attending, completing
and being finally presented with your beads, but for continining to be of
service to others...and to the youth we all serve together in the great game
of youth work and Scouting!!
Mike
