Let's take it easy on Sam. It's his first Windows version of the
program. There are things about the Windows version I don't like
either. In many ways, I can perform my tasks much faster in the
DOS version. It's easier to tab and escape all over the menus
that it is to stop and grab the mouse and then find the cursor.
In fact, there are certain tasks I still perform in the DOS
version on occasion.
But I will send him a letter with a list of suggestions and he'll
incorporate many of my suggestions and those from others (I'd
hate to have his job of sorting through all those suggestions!)
in his next release. I was amazed how many user suggestions he
incorporated when he moved from version 3 to version 4. There
were even more nice features added in the Windows version.
Let's not publicly bash Sam's product on SCOUTS-L. Let's compile
a list of constructive suggestions, send the list to him, and
await the next release of the software.
