female leaders uniform

Ellen..

It is a rumor based somewhat on fact about the female leaders wearing
khaki uniforms. In our pack, all female leaders can wear the khaki
if they choose, since they will wear khaki as Webelos leaders (and we
know if you're a leader now...you will be later :) ..and we did not
want them to have to pay for two shirts.

At Philmont, Jere Radcliff (sp), the Pres of the BSA had a fireside chat
with us on the first day of conferences. I, of course, raised the issue
of the yellow shirt (please don't flame me, but I personally dislike
it for a variety of reasons and have never worn one.)

His comment was, BSA really does not care what shirt the females wear as
long as they are in uniform. HOWEVER, as long as females continue to buy
the yellow blouse, BSA will continue to sell it.

And no, I don't think you'll ever find it in writing.
