Latrine building

I am the group leader of a newly formed older girl program that is girl ran. As
a
service project the girls have agreed to construct a new latrine for our local
camp that was destroyed by vandals. They have asked me to see if any of you have
ever carried out a project like this, and can advise us on resources. We are
starting from scratch. To start out this discussion we thought we would ask your
collective wisdom on:
1. How to select site.
2. Best design.
3. Best materials to use - someone suggested a metal instead of wood
building.
4. Feel free to comment on other concerns we need to consider.
