Once upon a time an Internet newbie ventured onto the World
Wide Web in search of fame and fortune. All his friends had told
him "if you build it, they will come." So he quickly signed on to an
Internet access provider who had been flooding him with a "free
15 hour trial" offer. From there, he opted to continue the service
and establish a home page. He was very proud of himself and
quite happy. He had, in a very short period of time, successfully
launched his own home page and had created a unique email
address.
Forty-five days later our Internet newbie received his credit
card billing statement.
They say nothing can possibly exceed a bill from an overnight
stay in a hospital emergency room.
There are a lot of things in this world which cost money, and
there are even more things which are free. Before you venture
further into the Internet or browse your local computer store, I
suggest that you first bookmark this site, and then leisurely look
at each of these links for a host of free items. I guarantee that
you can eventually maintain your own home page, have it
designed, use a bunch of gadgets to track your visitors, hear
from them, etc. and publicize it to the world -- all for FREE. In
some cases, you will find sites out there providing free Internet
access.
