I joined this list a few weeks ago and forgot to write a description
about myself.

My name is Armando Dimas Betancourt, I'm from Caracas, VENEZUELA. I'm now an
Assistan Scout Master for the Troop "Seonee 75" (We use to call our groups
with words and numbers). I began in the Boys Scouts of Venezuela in 1983
when I was 7 years old. Then I pass to the Troop and then I was the patrol
leader for two years and I obtain the highest badge similar to the Eagle
Scout (in the BSA) that we called "Scout the Bol=EDvar". I was in the Rovers
(similar to the Explorers) for 3 years and at the end I get the "Ciudadano"
that is the highest in the Unit. I have two years like ASC.=20

Also I'm working for the National Direction Youth Program of the Venezuelan
scout association ("Direcci=F3n Nacional de Programa de J=F3venes de La
Asociaci=F3n de Scouts de Venezuela") in the estrategic field. There I'm the
National Co=F6rdinator of a big project called "REME (Red de Elaboraci=F3n=
de
Material Educativo)" that refers to a national net for the production of
scouts activities (documents) with hight content of our educational
objectives. In short word REME give a grupal instrument to the Scout Master
to evaluate the educational objetives in the boys (using activities).

What I'm doing now: At 20 years old, I'm studying to be an Industrial
Ingeneer in the "Sim=F3n Bol=EDvar" University. I like to climb mountains in=
my
free time an also I like the high mountain trekking very much. Also I'm and
orchidiologist since 6 years ago.

I see the SCOUTS like a life style!!!.

Scoutfuly Your,
Armando Dimas Betancourt
