For our annual Boundary Waters canoe trip, our troop requires at least
Star rank, and Swimming, Lifesaving, Canoeing, Orienteering, & Wilderness
Survival merit badges. It is not an age requirement, but you can see
that we won't have tenderfoot scouts along on the trip.

We camp every month (except December, no time) and spend 2 weeks at
summer camp in July. Plenty of activity for the younger scouts without
needing a special high-adventure program.
